The series opens in Tehran, 1979: Yosef saves two-year-old Eliza from a burning house in the city’s brothel quarter, Qala — where her Polish mother perishes in the flames. From this haunting beginning, Eliza unfolds across post-revolution Iran and Cold War Europe, following a piano maker burdened by guilt and a daughter whose hidden origins bridge two continents. Across eight episodes, their journey exposes forbidden love, exile, and a revelation that will shake the foundations of identity and belonging.

Premise / Synopsis

Tehran, 1979. In the chaos of revolution, a brothel in Qala goes up in flames. A Polish woman perishes, but her two-year-old daughter is saved by an Iranian piano maker. Raised in silence, Eliza grows up between shadows of guilt and buried truths. Thirty years later, Chopin’s nocturne awakens memories that can no longer be contained. Eliza embarks on a journey across borders – from Tehran to Warsaw – to uncover her true origins.

The series is both an epic family saga and an intimate father-daughter drama, anchored by music as a symbol of trauma and reconciliation.
